About you:
You are someone with a Doctoral degree or minimum master’s degree in public health, Nutrition, Food Technology, other related fields from a recognized university.
You should have minimum six-eight years working experience in health and nutrition programs. Demonstrated experience in international development work - designing, implementing and monitoring food systems-based health and nutrition programs.
Fluency in English & Hindi, both reading and writing is essential. Knowledge of regional languages would be an advantage.
About the role:
Primarily responsibility of this position is to support the National Program Manager (NPM) in providing context-specific nutrition technical and program support, documenting and disseminating NI’s work on food fortification program, including managing programming in the subject area internally within NI. This would involve supporting in the development of draft technical documents like Terms of Reference (ToR), concept notes, proposals and others; reviewing deliverables to ensure quality; representing NI at different forums (whenever delegated). In addition, this position will also provide program management support in design, development, and coordination with state offices for implementation of food fortification projects, timely utilization of budgets and deliverables.
In this role you will:
- Work closely with the NPM to plan and deliver technical advisory inputs and ensure quality assurance of program and research planning, management, and documentation.
- Collaborate with state offices staff to identify program technical priorities and research areas for improving quality and coverage of programs.
- Support NPM in preparing and reviewing project implementation plans, including inception planning documents.
- Facilitate preparation of national and state-level annual work plans in consultation with respective teams and timely monitoring of the plans.
- Prepare ToRs, Requests for Quotations (RFQs)/Requests for proposals (RFPs) in consultation with the NPM and follow up to ensure timely completion of review and approval processes.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables are received as per contract's timelines.
- Coordinate with the finance team and provide necessary technical inputs in development of program and donor budgets.
