Job Summary

We are hiring a Quality Assurance Line Inspector for a reputed food processing industry based in Derabassi (Punjab). This is an excellent opportunity for freshers or early-career professionals in Food Technology to gain hands-on experience in quality assurance, food safety, and production operations.

Qualifications

  • Education: B.Tech in Food Technology (mandatory)

  • Experience: 0 to 2 years

  • Job Type: Fresher or Experienced

  • Location: On-site, Derabassi (Punjab)

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Oversight

  • Supervise daily activities in raw material receiving and raw meat areas.

  • Enforce GMP and GHP practices during start-up and closure of shifts.

  • Ensure meat cut targets and inspection goals are met.

2. Quality Assurance & Food Safety

  • Conduct and oversee all online QA checks.

  • Maintain meat traceability and batch coding as per standards.

  • Hold and report non-compliant raw material batches to QA Head.

3. Team Leadership

  • Lead and guide food handlers on the shop floor.

  • Foster a culture of safety, learning, and accountability.

  • Conduct regular team training and skill development.

4. Process Optimization

  • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.

  • Ensure First-In-First-Out (FIFO) system for inventory.

  • Monitor yields and reduce processing losses.

5. Audit & Compliance

  • Maintain documentation for internal/external audits.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and customer standards.

6. Cross-functional Communication

  • Coordinate with line managers, QA, engineering, and production teams.

  • Communicate quality issues, progress, and updates in a timely manner.

7. Training & Development

  • Develop training programs for food handlers.

  • Track training effectiveness and implement corrective measures.

8. Cost Control & Inventory

  • Monitor processing costs and reduce wastage.

  • Enforce FIFO practices and control storage time (not exceeding 36 hrs).
