Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Researcher to join our core team at Nourvana Foods. This full-time position will play a crucial role in our food product research and development initiatives. The selected candidate will work closely with our leadership team, contributing to innovative projects that drive our mission forward. Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the development of new food products, from concept through to commercialization, including ideation, formulation, testing, and sensory evaluation.
• Correlate and analyze parameters in product development to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize experimental methodologies, enhancing product quality and innovation.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data using appropriate statistical methods, preparing detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for new product lines and improvements to existing products.
• Collaborate with industry stakeholders and labs for assistance in product development.
• Maintain accurate and thorough records of experimental procedures, results, and observations in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Support the preparation of research reports, publications, and proposals to secure funding and share thought leadership articles with the broader community.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in food research and development.
Qualifications
• A Master's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, Biotechnology, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.
• Proven experience in food product development, research methodologies, & laboratory techniques.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis (e.g., Excel or something similar).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Apps (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Willing to wear multiple hats in a startup environment and demonstrate leadership with ownership of tasks.
• Sense of urgency and commitment to delivering on time, with a results-oriented approach.
• Innovative thinking with a creative mindset and a willingness to travel as needed for work.
• Familiarity with startup culture, food tech, and the FMCG food industry.
