Role Description
This is a full-time Senior Food Technologist role located in Ponda, but with flexibility for some remote work. The Senior Food Technologist will be responsible for developing, testing, and evaluating food products and ensuring that they meet quality and safety standards. The successful candidate will also be responsible for designing and conducting experiments, analyzing results, and creating reports. Additionally, they will provide technical support to cross-functional teams and work with them to identify new food processing opportunities. The Senior Food Technologist will be expected to keep up to date with industry trends and advancements in order to ensure that the company remains competitive. Mainly working with flavouring and roasting of Dry fruits and Nuts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience working in food product development.
- Demonstrated expertise in food processing technologies, sensory evaluation, food safety, and quality control.
- Excellent knowledge of food chemistry, microbiology, and food ingredient functionality
- Experience designing and conducting experiments, analyzing data, and creating reports.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and production.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including FDA and ISO standards.
- Experience with food processing software and the ability to use statistical software such as R or SAS is a plus.
