Job Title: Food Technologist

Job Summary:
As a Food Technologist in the R&D department, you will play a pivotal role in developing and improving food products through research, experimentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for applying food science principles to create innovative products, ensure quality and safety, and meet customer needs. This role involves working on product formulation, conducting sensory evaluations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing the entire product development lifecycle from concept to launch.
- Lead the formulation and development of new food products and improve existing products.
- Innovate new flavors, textures, and nutritional profiles based on market trends and consumer preferences.
- Conduct ingredient research and selection to enhance product performance, taste, and cost-efficiency.
- Perform laboratory testing and trials to develop and refine product recipes.
- Design and execute experiments to assess the impact of various processing techniques on food safety, quality, and shelf life.
- Analyze results, make data-driven decisions, and optimize formulations accordingly.
- Conduct sensory evaluations to ensure product acceptability and consistency in taste, texture, and appearance.
- Monitor and maintain quality control throughout the development process.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments, including product formulation, quality assurance, and marketing, to assist in the development of well-rounded products.
- Communicate effectively with external vendors and suppliers to gather information on new ingredients and materials.
Key Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Flavour Science, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Experience:
- No prior industry experience required, but any internships or coursework related to food science, nutraceuticals, or flavour development would be an advantage.
Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of food flavouring principles and sensory evaluation methods.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
- Eagerness to learn about flavour technologies and the nutraceutical industry.
Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to take initiative, adapt to challenges, and be open to learning.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
