Role & responsibilities

The role of Manager is to look after the daily routine activities as well as implementation of quality development program

Job Responsibilities:

1. To document, implement and monitor the quality performance of the entire procurement chain till manufacturing of milk and milk products.

2. To monitor and ensure the effectiveness of the quality regime at 3 P plant.

3. To coordinate with purchase department to ensure all necessary chemicals, glassware and other materials related to quality are timely procured and accordingly stocks are maintained.

4. To communicate all quality related information to down the line for implementation and also relevant information to the management for decision making.

5. To communicate with other departments, vendors, contractors and external agencies with respect to quality related information. Necessary approval to be taken in advance for sharing information to the external agencies.

6. Ensure audit is conducted at all levels and communicate improvement areas/ nonconformance. Necessary follow up for the compliances of the improvement areas/ nonconformance by the Internal as well as external agencies.

7. Produce reports regarding nonconformance of products or processes, daily production quality, root cause analyses, or quality trends.

8. Review statistical studies, technological advances, or regulatory standards and trends to stay abreast of issues in the field of quality control.

9. Identify critical points in the manufacturing process and control mechanism procedures to be used at these points.

10. Oversee workers including supervisors, inspectors, or laboratory workers engaged in testing activities.

11. Generate and maintain quality control operating budgets.

12. Direct the tracking of defects, test results, or other regularly reported quality control data.

13. Evaluate new testing and sampling methodologies or technologies to determine usefulness.

14. Instruct vendors or contractors on quality guidelines, testing procedures, or ways to eliminate deficiencies.

15. Coordinate the selection and implementation of quality control equipment such as inspection gauges.

16. Monitor development of new products to help identify possible problems for mass production.

17. Any other work assigned from time to time by the company.

Additional/ Occasional Responsibilities:

1. Monitoring of at least 5 BMCs as per schedule in a month for observing total Quality performance. Training and guidance to all graders for grading and chemists for testing. Training to all BMC I/c for Quality monitoring during receiving and dispatch of raw milk

2. Maintain all performance data of individual BMC

3. Collect all milk receipt data and rejections every month.

Maahi Milk Producer Company Limited is a Producer Company incorporated under the provisions of Part-IXA of the Companies Act, 1956 (Now Chapter XXI-A of the Companies Act. 2013) on June 7, 2012 in the State of Gujarat. 
 
The Company has commenced its commercial operations from 18th March 2013. At the time of commencement of operations, milk procurement of the Company spread to the districts of Saurashtra and Kutch region of Gujarat covering 1,912 villages and 2,142 MPPs (Milk Pooling Points). At that time total 85,194 milk producers were associated as members.
 
Presently, there are 1,04,643 members associated with the Company pouring milk through 2554 Milk Pooling Points located in 2298 villages spreading in 11 districts of Saurashtra and Kutch (i.e., Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Amreli, Botad, Bhavnagar, Surendranagar, Morbi, Jamnagar, Dev Bhumi Dwarka, Kutch and Porbandar). Towards, women empowerment, Maahi gives preference to women in giving membership of the company and presently, 47.51% of members consists of women members. The average milk procurement recorded for the financial year 2022-23 till 31st March, 2023 is 7.74 LKGPD, while for the period ended 30th September, 2023 is 7.49 LKGPD.
 
Company follows the strict norms for allowing the membership of the company and its continuance.  In order to have security in the matter of acceptance of milk and payment to the members, each member of the company has been allotted sixteen-digit unique code based on their geographical location (district, taluka, and village). Details regarding milk procured, its quantity and Fat & SNF of milk etc. are captured online in the system thus eliminating human intervention and errors and thereby ensuring reliability & transparency of the system.
